V is for Violin

On Friday Joey's Mum, Abby, came to show Room 3 her violin. Abby showed us how to tune her violin using an App on her phone. Then she had to put in a new string because one had broken. Next she played us some songs - some we didn't know and one we did - 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'! Abby let some of the children have a turn on the violin which was fun. Later that day, we each made our own little violins from paper and cardboard. We used a straw for the bow and we pretended to play 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'.
